Anechoic Chamber - LAUM - Université du Mans

Characteristics

This room is occasionally used for measurements related to the research activities of IRSTV, particularly for studies on urban sound sources.

 

The semi-anechoic chamber (SAC) measures approximately 8 meters in width, 12 meters in length, and 5 meters in height. The cutoff frequency (ISO 3745) is 100 Hz, with a background noise level below 17.5 dBA during operation.

The SAC is complemented by a multi-channel acoustic measurement system, combined with an automated system for moving a measurement microphone.

An adjacent room of more than 250 m³ is available for setting up and preparing experiments.
